Here he is—the RX King, a walking prescription bottle with a devil’s head and a halo that flickers like a neon sign. He’s got a purple arm wrapped protectively around the anxious face below, shielding it from the falling brushstrokes of rain.

But one of those raindrops?

It’s not rain. It’s bird shit.

And in some twisted corner of the cosmos, that’s luck.

This painting is a fable in disguise—a modern myth about vice, protection, and the weird ways we miss our blessings. Because sometimes, what we think is shielding us from the pain is actually blocking the breakthrough.

But here’s the twist: if you never feel the rain, you never catch the miracle. You don’t get the bird shit. You don’t get the good luck.

You stay dry, sure-but you also stay still.

And the face in the corner? That’s all of us— tucked in, cushioned, protected by our favorite sins, safe from the mess… but also safe from the magic.

This painting leans in the medicine cabinet, half full, half empty.
