Guernica: Rebirth

Inspired by Picasso’s Guernica, this isn’t a war painting—it’s a resurrection. A reckoning. A battle between who I was and who I refused to die as.

The black figure sprawled on the ground is my former self—addicted, broken, begging for love that never reached back. His final grasp is toward a woman who’s already gone, standing beside the GOAT, the version of me I always dreamed of but never became—because I burned it all down before I could build.

Towering above is the blue horse, a symbol of transformation, ripping through the chaos to kill what no longer serves. Inside

him, red snakes of temptation and lust creep in through a seductive devil figure, trying to hold on, whispering sweet poison into his mind.

To the right, another version of me burns. Cross on the chest. Halo on the head. Drowning in black smoke, arm raised not in surrender—but in hope. He’s still reaching for light.

And above it all—an eye, a sun, a halo, a lightbulb. Enlightenment. A guide. A collaborator in this holy war of rebirth.

This is a painting about letting go of destruction, of choosing to live when every part of you wanted to die. It’s not just survival—it’s transformation. I killed the man I was to become the man I am.
